Well, hello there, new friend! My name is Nicole and I am a professional photographer based in Charlton, NY but I work with families all around the Capital District, NY! I am a self-procclaimed photography addict, which means I love everything that has to do with photography. Finding a local art gallery and spending a morning in awe? Yes, please! Meeting up with fellow photogs for coffee and chit chat? Count me in! Some nights I’ll spend hours online looking at other wonderful photographers, reading equipment reviews and just indulging in all things a photographer loves!
Whether I’m capturing moments, editing photographs from a session or chatting with clients old and new, my life revolves around my camera (and my family, too, of course).
I started taking pictures at an early age with my Playskool camera. When I got to my high school years I loved going to museums and looking in photography books at the library, so I continued by learning film photography in an elective course. And now as an adult I have found my love and passion for photography grow from an admiration, to a hobby to a career.
The thing I love the most about being a photographer is seeing the smiles on peoples’ faces through my lens, and even more so in person when I meet with them to review their images! It makes me feel amazing when my clients have fun during our session and fall in love with their images!
The dictionary defines photography as, “The art or practice of taking and processing photographs.” But, I think it’s a lot more than that. Through images, we are able preserve history. A child’s first steps, a couple’s first married kiss, the first family photos with a new mom and dad, a high school prom, and so much more. They are part of our legacy, they able to move on in time in our families, long after we are gone.
Anyway, enough about me. I’m so glad that you’re here. I specialize in a variety of different portrait photography sessions and am always willing to work with you to create the session of your dreams. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.
