Kate & Justin got married on a warm spring day in May at the beautiful and historic Pruyn House in Latham, NY. Their wedding day was as fun and laid back as these two are! It was my first time at this venue, and I was taken aback by just how much this property offered. The house in itself is large, historic and just beautiful, but out back it was completed with an old school house, a large barn and small red barns. Oh and did I forget the endless flowers and trees?! A treasure within the Capital District, that’s for sure!
Kate spent endless hours hand making nearly all of their decorations and props, as she was very DIY oriented. When it came to plates and utensils everything was bamboo and recycled, she made sure her eco friendly lifestyle came through within her wedding as well. The food was provided by Ilium Cafe, one of their favorite places to eat in Troy! A cute little added touch is that she and her flower girl and ring bearers all wore Toms shoes. Talk about a comfortable, stylish bride!
Their reception was filled with emotional dances and toasts and the laughter and happiness was contagious and endless. Congratulations Kate and Justin! It was an honor getting to know you and capturing your love story.
